Part time (up to 32.5 hours per week over 5 days)

Term-time only (38 weeks plus annual leave entitlement (deemed taken during school holidays))

Salary: Scale 4 - SCP 7-11 - starting at SCP7 £26,403pa pro-rata

(Pro-rata salary: £19,802pa, approx. based on 32.5 hours per week)

Lunesdale Learning Trust are recruiting for a newly established role for a Student Advocate Officer to provide essential support to teaching and pastoral staff in escorting students to and from classrooms or other areas for reasons including removal from lessons, supporting pupils to arrive at lessons and locating and escorting pupils who are unaccounted for.

This role requires someone who can monitor and maintain high standards of student behaviour, and they will work closely with members of the Pastoral Team in order to ensure the safety and welfare of students when they are out of lessons.

The ability to communicate effectively with students aged between 11 and 18 in a calm and controlled manner and to transfer sensitive or complex information accurately and appropriately is essential, as well as the ability to respond to unexpected problems and situations with the skill to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances or situations. A first aid qualification would be useful.
