Student Advice and Guidance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Student Advice and Guidance Manager to lead the advice and guidance function within the Student and Campus Life team (ASK) You will manage a team of advisers, overseeing the support students receive in accessing services, university systems, and overcoming barriers to success. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership experience who can set a clear direction for student advice and guidance provision while remaining confident working directly with a diverse student population on complex or sensitive cases., You will lead and manage a team providing first-line and escalated advice and guidance to students on academic, personal, and welfare matters, ensuring consistent, high-quality support across the service. You will oversee the function connecting students with appropriate internal and external support services, and act as the escalation point for complex cases requiring timely intervention. The role will build and maintain strong working relationships with academic staff and professional services teams. You will drive initiatives to promote student wellbeing, retention, and engagement across campuses, will providing inclusive and accessible support , and manage the performance, development, and wellbeing of your team.
