Company / Job Profile
Our clients actively encourage all staff to develop their careers and will provide support and mentoring for candidates working towards becoming chartered. One of their directors is an IStructE interviewer and CPD assessor. The software used includes STRAP, SCIA Engineer, Tedds, and in-house spreadsheets, with drawings created using AutoCAD and Revit.
The projects currently include ESFA Primary Schools framework, various industrial buildings, residential (apartment blocks and housing), design for off-site manufacturing including modular buildings, timber frame, light gauge steel panel construction, and specialist roof cassette systems. Also involved are specialist pre-cast concrete walling elements.
The role is extremely varied and includes running own projects, working with others on larger projects, and developing own client relationships. Our client has built a reputation as problem solvers rather than just engineers. Therefore, they are looking for someone who can think laterally and not rely solely on software.
