The Role - Strategic Supply Chain Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned and influential Supply Chain Leader to join a prominent business in the aerospace and defence sector.
The Strategic Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for establishing and growing the supply chain function for a new branch within the business offering a unique and exciting opportunity.
Taking a strategic approach, you'll ensure the successful design and delivery of supply chain development and growth.
Duties - Strategic Supply Chain Manager
Provide strategic vision and lead the design and delivery of the supply chainsExecute the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including:
Strategy developmentSupplier identification and evaluationSpend and market analysisNegotiation of long-term agreements
Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.Conduct global market research to identify suppliers that enhance business value.Run RFQs and assess supplier capabilities.Lead all site and cross-site supply chain activities.Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships.Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and corrective actions.
Background - Strategic Supply Chain Manager
Bachelor's degree (Preferable)Significant evidence of supply chain career progression.Knowledge of procurement and contractual law.Knowledge of contractual requirements & supply chain processes.Innovation or other early-stage business creation experience
