Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM) Gas Metering

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager (SSM) to join our Global Procurement team. Reporting to the Head of Global Procurement, this role plays a critical part in delivering end-to-end sourcing strategies for gas metering components across our global operations. You will own the full sourcing lifecycle-from early engagement with R&D during product design, through New Product Introduction (NPI) alongside Operations, to supplier selection, negotiation, and ongoing performance management. This is a unique opportunity to shape global sourcing strategies, drive cost competitiveness, and ensure supply continuity in a technically complex and globally integrated environment.,

• Lead global sourcing strategy for gas meter parts and materials
• Partner with R&D to support design-to-cost initiatives and early supplier involvement
• Drive procurement activities during New Product Introduction (NPI) in collaboration with Operations
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers aligned with technical, cost, and quality requirements
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements to deliver value and mitigate risk
• Manage supplier performance, ensuring quality, delivery, cost, and innovation targets are met
• Develop and execute category strategies to deliver continuous improvement and savings
• Ensure supply continuity and proactively manage risks across the global supply base
• Collaborate cross-functionally across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams#
