Stores and Linen Operative

Check your local transport links here: Plan Your Journey | Traveline - the destination you should enter is HP22 5PG Join our friendly team at RAF Halton as a Stores and Linen Operative and play an important role in keeping our accommodation services running smoothly. You'll make sure clean bedding and linen are received, organised, stored and distributed to where they are needed. This is a practical, hands-on role where being organised, reliable and willing to get stuck in is key. You don't need previous linen experience to apply. If you have worked in a warehouse, stores, stockroom, supermarket, housekeeping, laundry, logistics or similar environment, your experience could be a great fit for this role. What you'll do:

• Organise and maintain the bedding and linen store, keeping everything clean, tidy and easy to find.
• Receive, check, sort and safely store clean bedding and linen.
• Prepare and distribute bedding and linen to accommodation areas as required.
• Keep an eye on stock levels and make sure bedding and linen are available when needed.
• Report any shortages, damaged items or other issues to your Line Manager.
• Help with moving and handling stock and deliveries as required.
• Work closely with colleagues to make sure the service runs smoothly each day.
• Follow all health, safety and security procedures and maintain high standards at all times.
  
  Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, stock, logistics, housekeeping, laundry or similar role is desirable.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A reliable and positive approach to work.
• Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on role and handling stock.
• Able to work independently while also being a supportive team member.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to help others.
• A full, clean driving licence.
