Full Job Description
As a Storeman, you will play a vital role in supporting the catering team by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, stock control, and distribution of food, beverages, and supplies. You'll help maintain high food safety standards, accurate inventory levels, and seamless day-to-day kitchen operations.
This is an active, hands-on role with a clear purpose - ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, values teamwork, and takes pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes.

The Role
Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation
Inspect deliveries for quality, temperature compliance, and any damage
Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
Maintain accurate stock records and inventory systems
Carry out regular stock takes and report any discrepancies
Support waste reduction and cost-control initiatives
Distribute goods efficiently to kitchen and hospitality areas
Keep storage areas clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
Provide support to catering teams during busy service periods when required
Adhere to Food Safety, COSHH, and Health & Safety regulations at all times
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or catering environment is preferred
Good understanding of food hygiene and safe storage practices
Strong organisational and time management skills
Basic IT skills for stock control systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving deliveries safely
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Strong attention to detail
