Supporting Asda Stores Across Multiple Locations We're looking for experienced Mobile Store Detectives to operate across a network of Asda stores, in a specific region With flexibility to support additional sites where required. Pay, Hours & Contract o Pay Rate: £16.36 o Contract: Full-Time, Permanent o Hours: 42 hours per week, including weekend working (approx. 2 Saturdays per month) o Start Date: Immediate start available Travel Requirement This is a mobile role, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. Mileage is reimbursed: About the Role As a Mobile Plain Clothes Security Operative, you'll play a critical role in protecting Asda's people, property, and profits. Working across multiple stores, you'll operate both covertly and overtly to detect and prevent theft, reduce stock loss, and ensure a safe environment for customers and colleagues. Key Responsibilities o Monitor customer behaviour and identify suspicious activity across multiple sites o Conduct covert surveillance to detect and prevent theft o Safely and lawfully detain offenders where appropriate o Produce clear, accurate incident reports and witness statements o Liaise with store management, security teams, and local police where required o Stay up to date with local crime trends and adapt your approach o Ensure full compliance with SIA regulations and company procedures o Travel between stores and respond to incidents as needed o Represent Mitie and Asda with professionalism at all times What We're Looking For o Valid SIA Licence (SG, DS or CP) o Previous experience in retail security or store detective roles preferred o Strong observational skills and attention to detail o Confident decision-maker, able to handle conflict professionally o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) o Comfortable using technology and reporting systems o High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism o Flexible and reliable, with a proactive mindset o A strong team player who can also work independently
