Full Job Description

This is a great opportunity to build your skills in community health while helping people make life-changing improvements to their wellbeing. You'll work as part of our friendly Stop Smoking team, supporting local people who want to become smoke-free. Your role will make a real difference by offering personalised advice and practical help, both one-to-one and in group settings. You'll also work closely with community partners and other health professionals to ensure people can access the support they need. What you'll do:

  • Provide tailored stop-smoking support to individuals and groups
  • Share clear, evidence-based advice on how smoking affects health and how to quit
  • Work with community partners and health professionals to coordinate support
  • Keep accurate records, monitor progress and contribute to service improvement
  • Help plan and deliver local health events and activities

    Good communication skills and the ability to build trust with diverse communities
  • Ability to organise your workload and work independently when needed
  • Experience working with people or community groups (paid or voluntary)
  • Basic IT skills and a willingness to complete training, including the NCSCT programme
