Full Job Description
Join our growing team of expert inspection engineers carrying out Thorough Examinations on lifting equipment across the UK. You'll play a key role in keeping businesses compliant under LOLER and PUWER regulations-working independently, supported by an in-house booking team and backed by a great benefits package. What You'll Do:
- Conduct Thorough Examinations at client sites, on a variety of lifting equipment-primarily, but not limited to, forklifts-in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Operate machinery as part of testing and inspection
- Complete legal documentation accurately and on time
- Liaise with customers when urgent equipment repairs are needed
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and site-specific protocols
- Work field-based, covering one of the above regions, Forklifts are our primary source of inspections. However, we cover a much wider range of equipment.
- Full internal and external training is provided for the full range of equipment we inspect.
- If you have solid knowledge and skills with different types of forklifts, we can help you build on this experience and upskill in other equipment types.
Minimum 5 years' engineering experience with forklifts and/or other material handling equipment. - Experience with a range of forklift types is highly desirable; training will be provided to cover additional equipment.
- Strong Health & Safety awareness
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office, basic tablet use)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Able to travel within your assigned region
Salary Up to £35,000 per year (depending on experience) - Comprehensive internal and external training on a broad spectrum of lifting and handling equipment.
