Staff Nurses

The Endoscopy unit is a busy JAG accredited Unit undertaking diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As an Endoscopy staff nurse you will be trained to rotate around all sub specialities within the unit. This includes Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, ERCP, Bronchoscopy, Gastroscopy and Cystoscopy. They are expected to take delegated responsibility in a given shift for a group of patients. With experience, they may be expected to take charge of the Unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge Nurse. Following training, they will also be expected to participate in the out-of-hours On-call rota for the Endoscopy Unit. Please see job description for full details.
