Staff Nurse (Woodley Ward - Older Care)

Do you want to make a real difference to patient care?We do and we have, but we are looking to recruit more staff nurses to continue and to contribute to making a real difference to our patients., The post holder is responsible for undertaking and recording a comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating high standards of evidenced based nursing care to a diverse group of patients:

Is expected to deliver care without direct supervision. Is accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care.

Is expected to teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non-registered nursing workforce.

We are looking for trained staff nurses to join our journey of celebrating and embracing older care. It's an exciting time for our five older care wards as they have recently been redesigned to be 'dementia friendly' following £600k funding from the Department of Health.We are also piloting a new older persons 'Enhanced Recovery Pathway' - one of the first Trust's to do this.
