Full Job Description

Outpatient Staff Nurses are responsible for the delivery of care and the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individual programmes of care. They are expected to give help and support to junior staff and to act as a role model and to use their own initiative and to work independently within the bounds of existing knowledge and skill. To use effective verbal and written communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team within own department and the wider clinical area and to engage in effective communication with patients, relatives and visitors. They are responsible for delivering high standards of patient care based on evidence based practice and have a professional duty to update and develop their professional practice. The post holder will support clinics on all West Suffolk Hospital Trust sites to include Thetford, Sudbury, Haverhill and Newmarket if required to do so. Outpatient's works on a, 5 week rotational rota to include Saturdays and to cover

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time (37.5 hours) Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our Outpatients team sitting under the umbrella of Clinical Support. You will be supporting the Outpatients department by managing speciality clinic's, facilitating patient flow, and ensuring exceptional and compassionate care. We are looking for dynamic and highly motivated individuals to join a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff members who strive to deliver care of the highest quality.

The Outpatients department can offer opportunities to learn and develop skills in a wide range of different medical and surgical specialities. The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills with a flexible approach to working.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a drive to promote a high standard of care for our patients. This post covers our West Suffolk Hospital site as well as clinics in our satellite sites at Thetford, Newmarket and Sudbury.
