Full Job Description

To assess the care needs of patients and develop a programme of care which is evaluated and amended as appropriate.

Carry out relevant forms of direct and indirect patient care without direct supervision.

On occasions, may take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the person who has continuing responsibility or his/her deputy.

With our brand new state of the art dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that was Opened in December 2024 at QMC, and a new reconfiguration layout at City planned to aid their transition to a Local Neonatal Unit.

We offer a professionally registered six month foundation course to enhance your CPD, with a dedicated neonatal practice development team to support your learning.

The Neonatal Service delivers critical care across two sites, the City and Queen's Medical Centre Campus. As lead centre in the EMNODN [East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network, we offer both medical and surgical intensive care for extremely premature and very sick infants.
