Full Job Description
Ensure that all HIV requests and needs are met in a timely and accurate manner Liaise directly with senior nurses ,MDT , other stakeholders and service users to ensure an efficient service continue as appropriate Liaise with multidisciplinary team to provide specialist care for our patients. Assist the HIV/Sexual Health Pharmacists, other stakeholders with day-to-day queries You will be required to work cross-site. Our role will be to support you in this interesting and challenging job, offering you: o Personal and professional development. o Education and training. o Friendly, supportive and progressive team. This is an exciting and stimulating role which will appeal to an individual who wants to be involved in a specialised clinic area. The hours are full time and the post require flexibility in hours to fit with service needs and may therefore requires evening cover. Main duties of the job To work supported within the multidisciplinary team to provide continuing care to patients attending for outpatient care. To supervise and teach junior members of staff and learners as required, and maintain own personal development with support. To be a safe, knowledgeable and effective practitioner at all times To provide high quality nursing care to patients and their families, in accordance with agreed policies.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive team player with effective communication skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate should be able to work autonomously, show attention to detail and cope well under pressure.,
- RGN/ RN
- NMC registration (in date)
- Specialist course (or experience) in HIV care for experienced nurses Desirable
- Preparation for primary assessor course or equivalent Experience Essential
- Recent ACUTE experience and/or sexual health experience.
- Post registration experience /Preceptorship experience Desirable
- Evidence of leadership development
- Awareness of issues within sexual health. Knowledge Essential
- Knowledge of current and emerging NHS strategy, policy and HIV care standards
- Is aware of how to identify and reduce risks with regards to health and wellbeing Person Specification Qualifications Essential
