Staff Nurse - Haematology Oncology Day Unit (Band 5)

Following a recent uplift to the nursing establishment, an exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated nurses to work in a busy Haematology & Oncology Day Unit.

We are looking for an enthusiastic nurses who can work dynamically and at a fast pace to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

We have close links with Hope for Tomorrow who support by the loan of 2 Mobile Cancer Care Units. The successful candidates will have a clear vision of quality care delivery and will be committed to helping to develop and improve the Haematology / Oncology service at Airedale General Hospital., To work on the Haematology Oncology Day Unit (HODU) &Mobile Cancer Care Units (MCCU) supporting patients, andtheir carer's, who are receiving chemotherapy and supportivetreatments for haematology/oncology conditions.

The post isan integral part of a multi-disciplinary team which includespharmacy, specialist nurses and MCCU team. The postholder will contribute towards the development of clinicalpractice and self-development and perform proceduresrequired of the role and be prepared to learn new skillsrelevant to the role including administering chemotherapy.
