Full Job Description
We are looking for an innovative, committed, and caring practitioner. The successful candidate will be required to work autonomously and as part of the MDT, demonstrating sound clinical decision making with a passion for working in an acute inpatient setting.
As a Staff Nurse on a busy inpatient unit, you will support the MDT in the provision of high-quality care for adults with a wide range of mental health problems. You will be confident, have good people skills and able to challenge tactfully and constructively and able to gain the respect and confidence of nursing, medical and MDT staff. You will have ample opportunity to build your skills and develop.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a 24hr shift system so to ensure care is provided across the day and night. You will also be supported to gain invaluable experience and grow in confidence Applicants are encouraged to contact the ward for further information.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, and highly motivated staff nurse to join our dynamic, forward-thinking nursing team within Willow Ward at Kendray Hospital.
We provide high quality care, which focuses on helping individuals recover in a way that is meaningful to them. The service provides a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment which promotes the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of all service users during an episode of mental illness.
We are looking for a confident and dynamic staff nurse. One who is recovery focused, pro-active and passionate. The successful candidate will be able to actively participate in delivering high-quality, person-centred interventions for our service users who have a variety of complex needs. They will also possess excellent communication skills. The right candidate will also be able to accept responsibility, work autonomously and be an active and effective team worker.
You will work under the supervision and guidance of the wider multidisciplinary team, supporting them in the assessment, treatment and recovery of those who use our service. You will help to empower, improve wellbeing and support service users in their recovery pathway and help them prepare for a timely discharge.
We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services and are the lead for the west Yorkshire secure provider collaborative.
