Full Job Description
The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital is located on the University Hospitals Sussex site in Brighton. We are a 10 Bedded level 2 Children's Critical Care Unit, where we care for both medical and surgical patients, Children requiring long term ventilation and also acute non invasive ventilation. We have the lowest Intubation rate in Europe for children with Bronchiolitis. This is your opportunity to work within the Children's Critical Care unit, you will be responsible for providing excellent nursing care. You will work closely with the Ward Team and other senior nurses within the Children's Hospital. We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic, energetic children's nurse with a skill for prioritising, delivering and organising patient care. You will have a proactive and positive approach, with evidence of excellent clinical, teaching, and managerial and inter- personal skills to lead, work along side and motivate our multi-disciplinary team. Your will be supported by our critical care educators who run a Level 2 children's critical course. This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria.Main duties of the job We are looking for enthusiastic, professional nurses who want to make a real difference for the patients in our care. You should expect to be supported, supervised, challenged and mentored by our experienced staff. As a new staff member you will complete an orientation period to the clinical area and as a newly registered practitioner will have the opportunity to complete a Trust wide preceptorship programme with bespoke paediatric sessions. As a member of the multi-disciplinary team provides the highest standard of patient care.
