Supervise the daily operations of the stable yard, ensuring the health and welfare of all horses through feeding, grooming, exercise, and health checks.
Lead and coordinate the team of Grooms, assigning duties, overseeing routines, and monitoring performance.
Plan and manage individual horse care schedules, including riding programmes and rest rotations during off-seasons.
Ride and handle a range of horses, including stallions, and provide assistance to team members with challenging animals.
Monitor stock levels and order feed, bedding, and other supplies as required.
Ensure accurate maintenance of records relating to horse routines, treatments, and activities.
Liaise with the Manager for veterinary care and paddock management needs.
Secure the premises daily, ensuring proper opening and locking procedures are followed.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety across the facility.
Address and escalate any issues related to staff performance or horse welfare.
Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.

Proven experience in horse care/management with a high standard of husbandry (Essential)
Experience in a supervisory or team leader role (Desirable)
Ability to ride to a high standard (Essential)
Relevant equine qualification (Essential)
Experience working with children (Essential)
Clean driving license (Essential)
Strong knowledge of the equine industry (Desirable).
