ST3 Clinical Fellow

The post involves working in the inpatient ward teams under the supervision of Infectious diseases Consultants, and in the Hospital for Tropical Diseases outpatient clinics. This provides a unique opportunity to work in the national referral centre for Tropical Medicine and tertiary Infectious Diseases service.

This post would be ideal for someone to expand their existing infectious diseases training as an OOPT, or an individual who is looking to gain experience in Tropical Medicine/Infectious Diseases with a view to pursuing specialty training in Infectious Diseases. We require someone who has current GMC registration.

The key responsibility is to work in the Hospital Tropical Diseases outpatient department, and inpatient infection service at UCLH. This provides unparalleled experience of managing tropical and imported infections as well as complex UK acquired infection. The post includes attendance at the rich program of learning and training opportunities throughout the week.

Additionally, the successful candidates will be on SpR the on-call rota for Infectious Diseases at registrar level this, including ward cover for ID inpatients, and admitting referrals to ID from the Emergency Department, as well as providing advice over the phone to referring hospitals with the support of the on call consultant.
