The right engineer will drive the success of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) software products, around mathematics and classical machine learning, through innovation & collaboration. You will have exposure to all the latest AMD technologies as part of the team which will deliver our next generation products. - Development of mathematical and statistical software with an emphasis on usability, accuracy and performance
- Implement serial and parallel algorithms solving real world classical machine learning problems, taking ownership from design to delivery
- Build and deploy software for the most advanced CPU and AI platforms in the world
- Develop and maintain a suitable test infrastructure
- Innovate in production software environmentscontinuously striving to optimize the workflow
- Collaborate across the organization
- Liaise with stakeholders and follow up on action items, AMD may use Artificial Intelligence to help screen, assess or select applicants for this position. AMD's "Responsible AI Policy" is available here.
With a relevant academic background and software development experience you have a drive to learn and innovate to improve yourself and our products. Your peers will provide a results-oriented and encouraging environment to solve challenging technical problems and grow your career., Classical Machine Learning, Data Science, Numerical Algorithms and C/C++, Master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or equivalent, An understanding of mathematical concepts and algorithms applicable to classical machine learning, data science or statistics - Programming experience, using C/C++
- Experience of working in a High Performance Computing environment and programming with MPI or OpenMP
- Prior experience of scripting such as Python, Shell, or R
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
- Experience with software development processes and tools such as build systems, debuggers and source code control systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsfor technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and planning skills
