Sports Coach Level 4 Apprenticeship

You will be employed by Elite Youth Sports as an apprentice while completing the 1st4Sport Level 2 in Coaching (if required) and Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship. You'll gain hands-on experience delivering PE and physical activity in primary schools and holiday camps, supported by experienced mentors. If you already hold a Level 2 qualification, you will start directly on the Level 4 programme and a higher salary.

• Fully funded Level 4 Sports Coach qualification (12-18 months)
• Practical experience in school and community settings
• Ongoing mentoring and professional development
• Opportunities for permanent employment and progression within Elite Youth Sports, Aged 17 or over
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
• Good spoken and written English
• Willing to complete Level 2 Coaching qualification by Spring 2026 (if not already qualified)
• Full UK driving licence or moped required (limited public transport in some areas)
• Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training required

Salary
• From £12,480 (non-Level 2 qualified)
• From £15,600 (Level 2 qualified)
Hours & Location
• 30-37.5 hours per week
• One office-based day per week, remaining time in Oxfordshire primary schools
• Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Didcot
