Sport and Health Assistant

We're looking for a friendly, proactive and customer-focused Sport and Health Assistant to help us deliver an excellent experience for students, staff and visitors at our Sports Centre. You'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of our facilities, assist with activities and events, provide excellent customer service and help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for everyone who uses our facilities.
Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for our Sport and Health Assistant will be to:
o Support the day-to-day running of activities and events, ensuring equipment and spaces are set up and cleared away safely and efficiently.
o Provide reception cover, including welcoming customers, answering enquiries, processing bookings and handling payments using our booking systems.
o Build positive relationships with students, staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service and responding appropriately to queries, concerns and feedback.
o Carry out routine inspections of facilities and equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance requirements.
o Help maintain a clean, safe and well-presented environment by undertaking cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
o Act as a trained first aider, responding appropriately to accidents or incidents and ensuring relevant procedures and documentation are completed.
o Contribute to a culture of health, safety, inclusion and wellbeing across the Sports Centre.
