Speech & Language Therapist

The post-holder will be supported to work through the RCSLT NQP and dysphagia competencies frameworks as required. They will be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with communication and swallowing impairments across acute inpatient and stroke wards with support. There will be opportunities to attend multi-disciplinary team meetings and ward rounds, and to participate in delivery of teaching/training to other professionals.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and supportive SLT Team at the Royal London Hospital, a leading teaching hospital based in East London. You will join a supportive and dynamic team with great opportunities for developing specialist skills across the areas of, The post holder will be a Speech & Language Therapist for acute inpatient services at the Royal London Hospital. The post holder will be part of a team providing specialist assessment and treatment to adults in the acute setting with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. The post holder will be required to provide input along the various clinical pathways in the acute settings including neurosciences, health care of the elderly, general medicine, respiratory, trauma and Stroke Medicine. The post holder will work as part of the acute SLT team and wider MDT and will be supported and supervised by a Specialist SLT as well as the Clinical Lead SLT.
