Full Job Description

This 3-day post will have direct clinical time for 2 to 2 1/2 days and your timetable will also have dedicated planning time and time for NQP competencies. You will be working in an allocated mainstream school, supporting children, families and school staff across specialist, targeted and universal services.

The bulk of your work will be with children aged 5-11, but you may be required to work with younger or older children if this is needed by the service.

You will have a small allocation of schools that you will visit weekly. You will provide specialist assessments, a range of specialist and targeted interventions, and offer training, support and advice to school staff and parents. You will support children with developmental language disorder, autism, speech disorders, complex needs, and other communication difficulties. You will provide a service that considers the needs of children and families from a range of ethnic, linguistic, and neurodiverse backgrounds. You will have access to regular support, clinical supervision and learning opportunities.
