Speech and Language Champion

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Years Speech and Language Champion to join our Achievement Team. Working closely with Family Hubs, early years providers, schools and partner agencies, you will champion speech, language and communication development, supporting children to get the best possible start in life. This exciting role will support the delivery of our speech, language and communication graduated response pathway across Redcar and Cleveland. You will work directly with early years providers, Family Hubs and schools to embed evidence-based programmes and strengthen inclusive practice for children and families.,

• Supporting the rollout and monitoring of WellComm screening and interventions.
• Supporting settings to deliver and embed Early Talk Boost programmes.
• Coordinating and promoting Early Words Together at 3 across schools and early years settings.
• Delivering training and practical support to early years professionals and childminders.
• Acting as a trusted point of contact for settings seeking advice on speech, language and communication needs.
• Promoting Family Hub services and helping families access the right support at the right time.
• Contributing to the local authority's Best Start in Life priorities.
