Specialty Doctor, West Surrey - Home Treatment Team

We're looking for a dedicated & compassionate Specialty Doctor to join Home Treatment Teams (HTT) in West Surrey for Older Adults. This will also provide cover to urgent referrals via SPA for Older Adults. The teams covered would include North East Hampshire HTT, South West Surrey HTT & North West Surrey HTT. Our HTT offers urgent & intensive mental health support to adults in crisis, helping people stay at home & avoid hospital admissions wherever possible. You'll be working with a skilled & welcoming multi-professional team. As our Specialty Doctor, you'll provide clinical leadership, expert assessments, & treatment planning. You'll also support early discharge from hospital & work closely with local teams, services & carers. The role is central to helping people recover in the community with the right support in place. The post-holder is also expected to liaise effectively with the other general and specialist teams operating in Surrey to ensure effective handover of care when patients transfer between teams as part of the patient pathway., The HTT interfaces with Inpatient Acute Services, Single Point of Access Triage Services, the Section 136 Places of Safety, Community Services, Liaison Services & the Criminal Justice System. Most patients are referred from NMHT & Liaison Services. The post holder will be responsible for delivering Consultant psychiatric input & clinical leadership to the MDT & acting as a consultant/advisor to the team in line with the developing models of practice under 'New Ways of Working' On average, a full time Specialty Doctor will have 10-12 visits per week.
