University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated doctor to join their Trust. The posts will commence with a fixed term Specialty Doctor contract in Rehabilitation Medicine for 12 months. Subject to satisfactory progress at the end of this first year, successful candidates will have the option to progress to the Portfolio Pathway (CESR) Programme, which we would expect to require 3-5 years for completion in most cases. The contract will be reviewed annually and extended on a mutually agreed basis, based on successful completion of required competencies at annual review.
Main duties of the job
Responsible, as part of a team, for the day-to-day management of patients on Kings Lodge Neurological Rehabilitation Unit and in outpatient services for Rehabilitation Medicine patients
Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of patients within the Rehabilitation Medicine service.
To share responsibility with colleagues for the day-to-day management of the patients on Kings Lodge Neurological Rehabilitation Unit and in the rehabilitation pathways supporting this unit.
Leadership to junior staff
Shared role in delivery of teaching and training
Active participation in quality improvement, audit and research activities of these services
Keeping up to date and participating in continuing professional development
Participation in annual appraisals
