Specialty Doctor in Perinatal Community

EPUT is looking to appoint a full time enthusiastic and passionate Specialty Doctor who will provide consistent, high quality Medical input support to the Community Perinatal services for Essex, based in Chelmsford. The team provides multidisciplinary, community specialist care for the assessment and treatment of woman with mental health illnesses in pregnancy and postnatally across the County of Essex., The post- holder will serve the needs of patients across the North of Essex, which includes the areas linked to the three main hospitals, which are Princess Alexandria in Harlow, Colchester General and Broomfield Hospital. This will be reviewed periodically to ensure appropriate resource allocation to the different areas and any changes made shall be after deliberation. You should be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold Section 12 (2) approval under the Mental Health Act 1983. You will also need to provide evidence of achievement of ST1/CT1 competences in psychiatry at time of application and likelihood of achieving CT2 competences in psychiatry by the start date of the post.
