Specialty Doctor in Oral Surgery

A opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic substantive part-time Specialty Doctor Post within Oral Services, Maxillo-Facial Department at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Our Oral Services dept. which is provided by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of medical consultants, a hygienist, a medical photographer, dental radiographers and a team of specialist dental nurses with advanced scope of practices experience in the treatment of acute dental conditions. The department benefits from a full range of diagnostic imaging and pathology support services; and have close links with the regional teaching hospitals.

The successful candidate must be registered with the GDC with a valid license to practice in line with the introduction of revalidation on 16 November 2009., The postholder will provide support to the Maxillo-Facial team within Kingston Hospital and will share clinical responsibilities with professional colleagues within the department.

The postholder will be expected to work with clinical colleagues and local managers in providing a safe, efficient and effective service for Kingston Hospital. This will include the review of inpatients, provision of outpatient clinics and undertaken of minor operating lists.

The appointee will be expected to support postgraduate teaching and training.
