This Specialty Doctor post in Adult Psychiatry is a full time post shared between Mulberry 3 (recovery ward) and the Crisis team, Cambridge. The post holder will provide clinical input to the assessment and management of patients contacting crisis team, Cambridge, and those under the care of our Mulberry 3 ward with support from the respective Consultants and the wider team., o This post will work across the Crisis team and Mulberry 3 (Recovery ward)

o On Crisis team days provide support and clinical advice for the crisis team regarding the management of high-risk patients contacting the service

o On Crisis team days provide assessments for patients requiring urgent assessment including mental health act assessments when indicated

o On Mulberry 3 days management of Mulberry 3 (Recovery ward), under supervision of consultant psychiatrist

o On Mulberry 3 days to work with the MDT on the unit and other teams within and outside the organisation and share responsibility with them for day-to-day management of the unit and seamless patient care.

o To work with the consultant and team managers to monitor and improve the quality of care that the service provides.

o Teaching and training of junior staff, medical students as well as the wider MDT including support with clinical skills evaluation and development

o To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance, audit and research.

o To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
