Full Job Description

To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence-based care for all in patients. To liaise effectively and in a timely manner with surgical, medical, and nursing colleagues and all other health care agencies when appropriate

To assist in the provision and development of a safe and effective Service and support the Trust in its aim to provide the best possible care to patients.

Out- of-hours on-call responsibilities, including participation in the on-call rota. On-call frequency will be 1 in 10. Commitments include cover for ICU, Theatres and Obstetrics depending on experience

To carry out all duties to the highest possible standard, and in accordance with current quality initiatives within that area of work.

Cover for colleagues' annual leave and other authorised absences.

A willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities at local, regional or national levels.

To carry out their duties with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunities policy at all times.

To comply with Trust Health and Safety policies and maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff.

The anaesthetics department is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated people with the ability to work with the general surgery team to provide a comprehensive service across the department., The post holder will be contracted to provide an anaesthetic service to Milton Keynes University Hospital. Candidates must hold full registration with the General Medical Council and should have at least 4 years postgraduate experience with 2 years in anaesthetics.
