Specialty Doctor Emergency Department

Working as part of our team in a busy medium-sized Emergency Department, you will experience the entire range of the Emergency Department case mix. We see everything! Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, surgical emergencies, paediatrics, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology and ENT. We see Major Trauma and are part of the Greater Manchester Trauma Network. We also participate in the Acute Stroke and Primary PCI network.

We will support you if you have a special interest. We have a precedent within the Emergency Department of successfully supporting a number of colleagues through the CESR programme, provided by our colleague, Dr Bhaskar Ayinaparthi, Consultant in our department., Emergency Medicine is part of the Urgent and Emergency Care Directorate. The team has a Clinical lead who is supported by the urgent and emergency care director and operational team.

You must have 9 months UK NHS experience to be able to apply.

NHS Medical and Dental salaries are set at a national level. For new starters not already working to UK Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service will be appointed to the minimum paypoint. The starting salary paypoint can only be increased when there is evidence of relevant, completed year's experience in terms of nature, type and level of role. The evidence required to increase a starting salary would be Payslips and details noted in the application form i.e. complete employment history
