Summary


This post is to provide a full clinical service within the Department at Dorset County Hospital Foundation Trust. This is a service-based job undertaking clinics. The service at Dorset County Hospital has maintained the NHS 18-week pathway of care and this post will continue to assist in the delivery of this target over the coming months. This post is a full-time position.


To provide day-case and outpatient ophthalmology services to patients in Dorset. To participate in the provision of the acute ophthalmology service. To contribute to the training of junior doctors and other professional team members. To fulfil continuing professional development requirements in line with clinical governance. To participate in audit and clinical governance.

Job Plan (10 PA)



  • Direct Clinical Care: 8.5 PA's per week

    • (Includes CPD, audit, teaching and research)
