Summary
Diabetes and Endocrinology The post will be based at Kings College Hospital (Denmark hill). As an employee of the Trust the post holder will work in close co-operation and support other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in the diabetes and endocrinology departments in providing high quality healthcare to the Trusts patients. The post is suitable for candidates looking to develop their skills in diabetes. The post holder will join the endocrinology and diabetes specialist registrar rotation at Kings. Additional contributions to general internal medicine could be arranged via bank. Timetables are attached. The specialist rotation at Kings College Hospital is ranked highly in terms of trainees satisfaction within London and nationally according to the latest national trainees survey. An induction programme to the Trust and the departments will be organised to familiarise the post holder to Kings and the various services and activities in diabetes and endocrinology.
Integral to these responsibilities are the following:
- The provision of a first-class clinical service
- A supportive role to the trainee doctors engaged in the specialties
- Undertaking all work in accordance with the Trusts procedures and operating policies
- Conducting clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trusts service plans
- Maintaining the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Care Group or the Trust
