Full Job Description

We are a highly regarded, friendly team supporting learners with a sensory loss in mainstream settings across the county. This is an opportunity to join us as a Specialist Teaching Assistant working with a deaf child or young person at an early years setting in a range of settings across the county of Worcestershire. You will be working with and supporting Qualified Teachers of the Deaf/ Multisensory Impairment, an Educational Audiologist, and Specialist Practitioners.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, experienced and highly motivated Specialist Teaching Assistant with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to support a range of students at different key stages, a range of settings including those with complex needs, as necessary. Confidence to support school-based staff, to advocate for the needs of the deaf pupil you support and the ability to travel across the county is essential. You will have experience of working with children/ young people, deafness, meeting targeted outcomes and a BSL level 2 qualification. All necessary training will be provided and you will have access to a range of CPD within the team., While you are working hard, doing your best for the people of Worcestershire, we will do our best to provide an environment that supports and inspires you.
