Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

We are looking for an experienced therapist to join our innovative team to work with children and young people presenting with a range of speech, language and communication needs associated with other developmental / neurological presentations, as well as those with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.

This is a specialist post, with support from a range of highly specialist speech and language therapists, and access to external CPD courses and opportunities to undertake research encouraged.

This post is based in the community, and so there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to travel to, and between various locations throughout the week., The successful candidate will work in the neighbourhood team of speech and language therapists to provide a high-quality speech and language therapy service to children in a variety of community settings including clinics, mainstream and specialist schools and nurseries.

We are looking for a therapist who can assess and provide a range of therapeutic interventions using specialist knowledge to children with a variety of speech, language and communication difficulties.

The job plan for this post includes sessions dedicated to providing assessment and interventions for children and young people presenting with eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties

The team work collaboratively with other partner agencies and carers to enable them to understand the communication needs and to provide appropriate advice, support and intervention.
