An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work within the new CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service for Durham and Darlington.
The post holder should be motivated by the opportunity to work with the multidisciplinary team to develop new ways of working and enhance service provision. The Assessment Service is part of a wider Neurodevelopmental Pathway which is a partnership between CAMHS, Local Authority and Education.
The post holder will attend multi-professional panels to discuss referrals into the pathway and identify needs of the young person/family. They will provide SLT assessments in relation to Neurodevelopmental Disorders as well as take part in other standardised assessments for Autism and/or ADHD.
This role may be eligible for sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be expected to carry out clinical work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, providing specialist assessment to children and young people between 0-18 years.

Working for our organisation
The post holder will have access to regular line management supervision with senior colleagues, clinical supervision with the Clinical Lead SLT for CAMHS in Durham and Darlington and will be expected to attend regular SLT staff meetings, peer supervisions and evidence-based practice events.
The SLT service is committed to continued personal and professional development via annual appraisals and the development of individual job plans., Here at Tees, Esk and Wear Valley Foundation NHS Trust, we want you to have a positive experience when you start your new role with us. We run a monthly face to face Trust Welcome Day and where possible, this will be your first day of employment. However, if this date is not possible, you will be required to attend a Trust Welcome Day within 4 weeks of your start date.
