Full Job Description
We are seeking a Specialist SEND Teacher to deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for students on our Skills for Life Curriculum. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will create engaging learning experiences that promote communication, independence, wellbeing and preparation for adulthood. You will teach students working towards greater independence and work-based outcomes, using a curriculum tailored to individual needs. Delivered in small tutor groups, the Skills for Life Curriculum supports learners with complex physical, learning and medical needs at Pre-Entry and Entry 1 levels, combining educational, therapeutic and physical approaches to build communication, agency, independence and mobility. - be a passionate and skilled teacher
- have experience of working with students with physical, learning and communication difficulties
- be committed to ensuring students reach their full potential
- Experience of using the sensory environment to facilitate learning
- Experience of delivering the curriculum outside of the classroom setting (e.g., in the community)
- be innovative and creative
- hold QTS/QTLS or relevant professional qualification
