Full Job Description

You will perform a wide variety of radiographic procedures on patients to a high imaging standard and provide excellent patient care within the team. As a Radiographer working in a multidisciplinary team you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with both IRMER and IRR policies. The role is a Band 6 position and you will be responsible for co-ordinating workload and prioritising patients according to clinical need in association with the other members of the Multidisciplinary team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly multi-disciplinary team working predominantly in our two Philips Cardiac Cath Labs at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. Previous experience of working in a Cardiac cath Lab or interventional Radiology department is an advantage but not essential as we are happy to provide training and support to individuals who demonstrate an interest and are keen to develop their skills in this speciality.

This is a full time position of 37.5hours, with opportunities to rotate into Interventional Radiology., As a band 6 specialist radiographer youwill be expected to have effective leadership and motivational skills, be an effective communicator, and able to work alone or as part of a team, demonstrate organizational skills, and have the ability to work to a high standard, both technically and in patient care .

You will be a HCPC registered Radiographer. You must hold a BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or DCR and demonstrate a flexible approach to working within the department to meet the needs of the service.
