Specialist Prison Pharmacist

Are you a GPhC Registered Pharmacist seeking a role that truly makes a difference? We're looking for an experienced pharmacist with an independent prescribing qualification to join our Integrated Healthcare Service at HMP Liverpool- where every day brings new challenges and rewards in equal measure., Take the lead in delivering safe, efficient medication services in our busy Category B local prison where your expertise truly counts. What you'll do:

• Leadership - organisation, planning and co-ordination of all pharmacy services on-site.
• 1:1 Patient Care - help patients to optimise their medicines by tailoring medicines and support to the individual patient needs and run pharmacy-led clinics
• Controlled drugs management - work alongside the senior pharmacist to lead on all controlled drugs processes and compliance, upholding The Misuse of Drugs Act.
• Oversight of DFM Pathway- lead our dependence forming medication pathway, identifying at risk patients and ensuring they are scheduled MDT reviews.
• Drive quality improvement - contribute to MDTs on medication-related issues and guide colleagues on safer, more effective medication management practices, Whether you are starting out in your healthcare journey or are an experienced healthcare professional looking for a new challenge we've got a role for you!
