Full Job Description
You will also be involved daily in our Emergency Clinic at 8:30am Monday-Friday which provides Gold standard active wound care, Clinical Delivery
- Provide podiatric assessment and treatmentwithin: + Hostels + Temporary accommodation + Outreach/community settings
- Manage: + High-risk foot conditions + Soft tissue lesions and infections + Diabetic foot complications (in line with service scope)
- Identify and escalate: + Red flag conditions + Suspected infection, ischaemia, or tissue loss Outreach & Engagement
- Deliver proactive outreach clinicsto improve access for individuals who do not engage with traditional services
- Build relationships with: + Hostel staff + Support workers + Voluntary sector organisations
- Encourage uptake of podiatry and wider health services Health Promotion & Prevention
- Provide foot health educationtailored to the homelessness population
- Promote: + Basic foot care + Footwear advice + Early help-seeking behaviours
- Support prevention of conditions such as: + Trench foot + Infection + Ulceration
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative podiatrist to work within our Specialist Podiatry Service in Tower Hamlets.
