Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the stroke therapy service at Peterborough City Hospital. The overall stroke pathway comprises of a HASU and ASU at Peterborough City Hospital and acute beds at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. The position is mainly at Peterborough City Hospital however flexibility will be required to provide cross-site cover.,
- To ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of patient focussed care in line with identified evidence based practice, local and national standards
- To work collaboratively within Multidisciplinary and Multi-agency Teams
- To participate in delegated projects for service development with the team
- To act autonomously in the assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have a complex presentation
- To demonstrate a flexible approach to working in support of the whole in patient/out patient team
- To undertake weekend working as required within service developments
- To be available to provide Clinical Supervision
- This role entails 80% Clinical Contact and 20% Operational Management as appropriate within team requirements
- To guide Band 5 and support staff in the management and delivery of therapeutic care plans
