Specialist Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Highly Specialist Nurse is an autonomous practitioner and has the freedom to act to influence patient care and service provision. They will exercise higher levels of judgement, discretion and decision-making in specialist palliative care, in relation to the management of patients, their carers and professionals involved in their care, across all specialities and all care settings. • 1st Level Registered General Nurse.
• Post registration qualification in relevant area or knowledge gained through equivalent experience.
• Relevant First Degree or working towards, or knowledge gained through equivalent experience.
• Evidence of continued professional development

• Teaching qualification or knowledge gained through relevant experience
Experience Essential
• Significant post registration experience in relevant specialty
• Experience of working effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team
