Specialist Orthoptist

An exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for a developing Orthoptist has arisen at NWAngliaFT.

This is a multi-site post across 3 busy but friendly hospitals providing care in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire across all areas of Orthoptics including both face to face and virtual activity. The Orthoptic workforce is strongly supported by a team of Consultants and Associate Specialists to form a multi disciplinary team that includes nurses, ophthalmic technicians, doctors, secretarial and booking staff and Eye Clinic Liaison Officers.

Alongside core Orthoptic, Optometry and Paediatric Ophthalmology clinics, the Orthoptist team support the wider department in many subspecialities - including glaucoma, medical retina, emergency, cornea and neuro-ophthalmology. For the right candidate, development opportunities are supported and actively encouraged both clinically and non-clinically. The department also supports teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate Orthoptic students, medical and other non-medical workforce. This role would also include cross-site working across three of our sites - Peterborough, Hinchingbrooke and Stamford.
