Specialist Oesophago-gastric Dietitian - Surgery

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team at The Royal Surrey Hospital (RSH) and be part of our growing oesophago-gastric (OG) team. This is a part-time post (22.5 hours per week) for a fixed term of 12 months.

The Royal Surrey is an established regional unit for both oncology and benign surgical OG procedures, with chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments delivered onsite from Royal Surrey Cancer Centre. We are looking for somebody with experience in surgery and / or oncology with an interest in the speciality. We need a team player who takes pride in providing an efficient and effective dietetic service. The caseload will be very varied and will work closely within the OG MDT within RSH and the wider Surrey & Sussex Cancer Alliance.

The Dietetic Department at RSH has an active audit and research culture, promoting clinical effectiveness in patient care. You will join a forward thinking and innovative dietetic team, which undertakes student training and is involved in teaching at the University of Surrey as well as supporting students with dissertation projects. This is an excellent opportunity in a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally., To provide a highly specialised nutrition and dietetics service for patients with both benign and malignant oesophago-gastric (OG) disease, at the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust (RSFT). To lead and supervise the acute surgical OG team and work with the OG dietetic leads to support the expanding surgical service and develop and deliver an early assessment and intervention pathway.
