We are now looking for a passionate and skilled Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Therapy Team at Inscape House School. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly specialist, multi-disciplinary environment supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions aged 5-19., As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will manage your own clinical caseload and deliver high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred occupational therapy interventions tailored to the individual needs of pupils and students. Working collaboratively with families, education staff and other professionals, you will help remove barriers to learning, promote independence and improve outcomes for young people.,
- Delivering specialist OT assessments and interventions.
- Supporting EHCP outcomes and Individual Education Programmes.
- Advising on specialist equipment and sensory-informed approaches.
- Working as part of a collaborative multi-disciplinary team.
- Supporting and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
- Delivering training, advice and consultancy to staff and families.
- Contributing to service development and continuous improvement.
Hold a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy. - Are HCPC registered with a current practising certificate.
- Have experience working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition.
- Have experience within special school, paediatric or multi-disciplinary settings.
- Have knowledge of sensory-informed approaches and paediatric OT practice.
- Can independently manage and prioritise a clinical caseload.
- Can support and supervise other team members.
- Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Are committed to person-centred, inclusive and collaborative practice.
- Are proactive, flexible and committed to continuous professional development. Desirable:
- Knowledge or experience of Sensory Integration approaches.
- Experience contributing to service development.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
