Full Job Description

These posts offer an opportunity to develop both clinical and managerial skills. Significant experience of working within orthopaedics services is essential. You will play a critical role in the delivery of this service, ensuring person centred care is delivered in a timely manner whilst also supporting hospital flow. The role requires the successful applicant to work flexibly across sites dependent on service needs., The successful candidate will be responsible for some of the day to day management and supervision of junior staff within the department.There is a new Band 6 OT post in Llandudno Hospital, a rotational Band 5 OT and a Senior OT therapy assistant within the team. Formal supervision and completion of annual appraisals with junior stuff will also be required. In addition, the post holder will contribute to the wider Occupational Therapy service i.e. audits, service developments, attending meetings.

You will have excellent organisation and time management skills and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of this busy service and to support during the transition to the new site., The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

You will be working in trauma and elective services across Glan Clwyd Hospital and Llandudno Hospital. This post is 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis. Whilst you will be predominantly based in Glan Clwyd Hospital there may also be opportunities to support the new elective service in Llandudno Hospital.
