Specialist Occupational Health / Physiotherapist - Band 6

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Team for an Occupational Health Physiotherapist.

The role focuses on delivering specialist support for the Trust's Reasonable Adjustments and WorkSmart (workplace assessment) services, alongside managing an occupational health physiotherapy caseload. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based assessment, advice and intervention to support employees in remaining at work, returning safely following ill health, and optimising their health, wellbeing and functional capacity.

Working within a supportive team, you will help create safe, inclusive and productive working environments through a holistic, person-centred approach. In partnership with employees, managers, HR and key stakeholders, you will identify practical workplace solutions that promote positive health and work outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated physiotherapist to develop specialist Occupational Health knowledge while enhancing their clinical reasoning, assessment and case management skills. Comprehensive training and support will be provided to support your development., Undertake a specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapy role, delivering expert musculoskeletal assessment and intervention, leading WorkSmart (workplace) assessments, and supporting the implementation and ongoing delivery of the Trust's Reasonable Adjustments pathway.

To be responsible for the operational management of the Occupational Health clinical specialty.

To provide specialist knowledge and advice to the Occupational Health team and other senior managers and clinicians in order to ensure appropriate representation of your service at operational and strategic levels.
To act as a specialist Occupational Health Physiotherapist, contributing to the delivery and development of high-quality clinical services, promoting evidence-based practice, and supporting the implementation of best practice within the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, assessment and problem-solving skills, a commitment to CPD, and a passion for supporting employees whose health may impact their work.The ability to build effective relationships and provide evidence-based workplace recommendations is essential. Clinical specialists working within the team are responsible to the designated Therapies Team Lead.

To balance the clinical specialist aspects of the post as appropriate and as agreed with the Head of Occupational Health & Wellbeing Services.

Applications are welcomed from physiotherapists who have completed their core rotations and possess significant musculoskeletal experience. Occupational Health experience is desirable but not essential.
