Are you a forward-thinking foundation pharmacist who has completed the first year of your postgraduate clinical diploma or an experienced pharmacist seeking a specialist role? Are you looking to progress your career and improve your leadership skills whilst also maintaining a patient-facing role? We have the job for you - an innovative new band 7 to 8a progression post within our family services pharmacy team! You will initially join the team as a specialist Band 7 pharmacist
- , participating in our structured 2-year development programme, gaining management and leadership skills, whilst learning to deliver expert pharmaceutical services to neonates, paediatrics and women's health.
- Initial appointment to Band 8a will be considered, dependent on experience. The post holder will work closely with our Principal Pharmacist - Child Health to provide a high-quality patient-focused clinical pharmacy service. Upon successful completion of the agreed objectives and assessment by the pharmacy leadership team, you will be eligible for progression to the Band 8a Lead pharmacist role. Year 1 of the development programme has an on-call commitment, with associated EDC payments. This role attracts a £3,000 RRP payment alongside the Band 7 salary and a £2000 RRP payment alongside the Band 8a salary. We can also offer a relocation allowance. The pharmacist we are looking for will be highly motivated, organised, hardworking and dedicated with good communication skills and a passion for developing a strong clinical role within family services. You will need to have completed a minimum of Year 1 of your postgraduate clinical diploma (or equivalent experience) and have or be willing to work towards your non-medical prescribing qualification. The role will focus on providing a high-quality clinical pharmacy service across the neonatal unit, child health services and women's health, expanding and improving our services whilst also working to develop our foundation and trainee pharmacist workforce. You will be supported by a small specialist team within family services and the wider pharmacy workforce. We are a super friendly, inclusive team with a passion for delivering excellent patient care. We have a bright and airy department with a large tearoom and access to outdoor open spaces to improve well-being. Our service is open 7 days a week and our current opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm (no late night rota), Saturday 9am-1pm and Sunday 9.30am-1pm. On-call shifts are usually 1 in 10, offering split weeks. Weekend shifts are 1 in 8 with one bank holiday worked per year.
